ed sent me this news clipping from new york post 1960. this article dates gimbel’s ride (or rather the ride that later gave birth to gimbel’s ride) back to the ‘20’s. i’ve always thought this ride started in the ‘40’s. i find it amazing that the legendary status of this ride continues to grow as i learn more about it.
