you can thank otto and jesse for the ridiculously beautiful 60 degree weather today. they were the only two riders who showed up on the unemployment ride this tuesday and braved the cold rain. in return the weather god had blessed us with mild temperature and a great turn out.
virtually everyone went ‘regular’ today in keeping with the tradition and everyone had a big smile on their faces catching up with one another. every year this special ride feels the same and makes you look forward to the next year’s thanksgiving. it’s like the hallmark card version of the gimbel’s ride on lifetime channel. people greet each other, stop to help those who flatted and lend a helping hand on the climbs.
for those who couldn’t make it to the ride this morning, you missed the great final kick by otto. he put his head down and won by 5 bike lengths leaving the sprinters in his dust.
a big shout out for everyone who came out today. in particular i would like to recognize special agents in charge juan and pete for handling your assignments beyond our expectation.
